Situation
What the client needed
The family-owned hardscaping company needed a website that reflected their craftsmanship and drove quote requests from customers in Newark, Middletown, and Smyrna, DE. They also needed help coordinating with the previous web company to transfer the old website and assets, since the vendor wouldn't allow direct updates to the live site.

What was worth changing
Restore ownership first, then replace the legacy site and create a media workflow the business could keep using without returning to the same vendor dependency.
Intervention
The smallest useful path
The legacy site was entirely replaced. We coordinated with the previous company to transfer the old website, handled domain ownership and hosting management, moved image assets out of the application bundle into AWS S3 + CloudFront, used machine vision to tag hundreds of project photos, and built a custom before/after slider to better showcase completed work.

The Result
The website was rebuilt from scratch, with existing content migrated and reorganized, the legacy-site transfer coordinated, and control over domain ownership and hosting restored. The work also included a scalable image workflow with machine-vision tagging and a custom before-and-after experience for project showcases.
